I went to a football match on New Years day, an exciting time was had stood behind the goal at “Kit-Kat Crescent” the home of the legendary York City (although I believe come 2012 the ground will become a housing estate). They were playing home to league leaders Burton Albion who pretty much kicked their backsides with steel toe-capped boots on. In York’s defense, had they not tackled themselves and missed the ball so much they could have made it 2-1. A few near misses as York hit the posts (on the same shot) and the crossbar but didn’t make those chances count, leading to their loss. Shock of the afternoon though – £2.50 for a pie!
