Stones Throw Podcast – Good music in times of financial crisis pt.4

Wow, as if the last 3 blogs weren’t repetitive enough here is a 4th installment in my blog series on “Good Music in times of financial crisis. This time it’s Stones Throw Records! This is definitely one for people with a head-shaped like a hip-op and gold sparkly spinning teeth with neon lights. That’s right folks it’s a rap and beats podcast; funnily enough this is my favourite US label despite not actually liking rap too much – I’m a big supporter of the beats that the ST crew are pumping out. Again, I think that name dropping to sell something is pretty bad journalism as it requires little imagination and is a bit cheap…but i’m not a journalist and that’s pretty much what I’ve done with the last 2 installments of the podcast anyway, so here we go. J Dilla and Madlib – woooooooo! Actually it’s more than just that, Stones Throw are more full of talent than my office (aha!) and the podcasts, although infrequent, are top banana and a great way to enjoy the fruits of the labels labor and nod yo’ head to whilst counting money in the evening. Seriously though get onto this, it’s a goodie!
