Part 6 of the Good Music in Times of Financial Crisis series – giving you an insight into podcasts that I rate and subscribe to – there you go, the Jojopops seal of approval! This time it’s Gilles Peterson and his eclectic worldwide podcast series of music from around the world. Before I dive into how amasing they are (they are good) if you’re reading Gilles, any chance of an audio bed or EQ’ing the interviews, levels seem to be a bit off and it takes some of the shine off what is otherwise a great podcast.
I was overjoyed on 20th September last year when there was a featured podcast on Stacy Epps, fantastic vocalist and a fine selection of music to go with the interview – seriously mind-blowing. Gilles Peterson has really got himself a great archive of diverse music that works a dream if you’re after a bit of relaxation on the train or just want to chill at work, great mood music and well informed interviewing.
