Hey, thanks for looking at this page, it’s all about me and I take that as a compliment! The picture on the left here is me when my hair was a bit shorter and I was cel-shaded (it was all the craze – trust me).
So what do you put on a page about yourself without bigging your self up too much or boring the life out of people with an extensive CV and lists of papers you’ve written. I’m going to write a quick list of things that I think are cool and so that you have a bit of a better picture of who I am and what i’m about…again, if you’re interested.
DJ, I have released an album entitled “[01]” how original I hear you thinking. It was constructed and mixed entirely on 2 turntables and the built-in Garageband effects unit working as a strange sort of echo-plex that I liked the sound of then but now think it sounds a bit slow and over produced (and the EQ needs a tweak) but that’s the nature of learning I guess. I play other peoples music the rest of the time when I DJ at cool places like 3345, Performance Rooms, Leeds Uni Union, Edlestock, Worsley Arms, Beehive, Escape and other places you won’t have heard of.
Skiing, yes I can ski, and quite well too. I’m hooked on snow-blading and love the adrenaline rush from going backwards down a black slope listening to grime and dubstep. Sadly i’ve been working so hard that skiing hasn’t happened for a while so I might get a bit bitter if you mention it to me.
Wedding, just the one! I’m happily married to my wife Lucy who is pretty special and a very talented lady indeed. We live in Liverpool and have a 2 tone, sun-faded Mazda 323 parked outside our Semi in the burbs. Lovely.
iPhone, why am I talking about this – i’m not sure but i’ve got one and it’s cool….ah that was it music….but i’ve already spoken about that, oh well.
Hawaiian Shirts, i’ve not been seen in one for a while but it’s something i’m going to revive – what better way of chilling out than with a flowery shirt and a mug of earl grey…and a pie. Deelish! That of course brings me to my love of tea and pies, not a whole lot else to say on the matter.
